“As a long-time tribal and fusion belly dancer who is just getting into the world of cabaret, I knew I wanted the best possible critique when preparing for my debut with a live Arabic band. Henna’s comments on my rehearsal footage were just the right balance of identifying my strengths and giving me lots to work on—while not ever being overwhelming! I went into my performance feeling confident and had a great show, but the feedback Henna provided has continued to be useful in my dance life as I continue to refine my technique and performance skills.” –Sarah Kate of Somni Fusion Belly Dance

I had a performance coming up where I wanted to use a choreography I learned in a class. I wanted to balance the idea of making this song my own,yet still have elements of the choreography in it. I felt like I was bouncing back and forth between ideas while not moving forward with it…time was ticking away and the date of the performance was coming fast!  I thought, let me contact Henna! I have always admired her dancing and enjoyed the few classes I took with her, so one on one would most likely be a fruitful experience as well. Man, was I right! Besides touching upon what this dance is made up of: technique, knowing your music, stage presence etc, Henna reminded me of some of the most important aspects that can fall to the wayside while looking at everything else.” — Angela aka Azella Mae

I have been belly dancing professionally for many years now and it was a combination of deep respect and admiration which led me to book a private lesson with Henna. It can be intimidating to go to another pro for feedback but she put me at ease immediately, addressing everything I wanted to work on with sensitivity and enthusiasm. What struck me the most about studying with Henna was her intuitiveness; she encouraged me to work on a few areas of my dancing that I didn’t even realize needed help, and this especially has had the biggest impact since our lesson. Henna is amazing!” – Razia Star
